July 27, 2019 - Wenger Comes Two Spots Shy of Transferring into PDC
On Friday evening McKay Wenger made the short trip to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) kicking off the 30th annual Prairie Dirt Classic. Drawing a stout field of 72 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries for a round of preliminary features, Wenger recorded the fourth fastest time in his time trial group locking him into the second-starting position for his $2,500-to-win prelim. Transferring the Top 4 into Saturday night’s main event, McKay fell two spots short with a 6th place finish.

1Returning on Saturday night for another shot at the $30,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance, Wenger came up two spots short with a 4th place finish. July 20, 2019 - 4th Place Finish JR Kimler Memorial
McKay Wenger was one of 20 DIRTcar Late Models signed in at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Friday night for the 9th annual JR Kimler Memorial. Following the second fastest time overall in qualifying behind Mike Spatola, Wenger locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory. Rolling off 4th, McKay dropped three spots to place 4th behind Spatola, Frank Heckenast Jr., and Jason Feger with Ryan Unzicker coming in 5th.

On Saturday night at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), Wenger scored a 4th place finish in his heat which positioned him 7th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $2,500 on the line, McKay fell one spot registering a 7th place outing.

July 13, 2019 - McKay Wenger Conquers Farmer City Field
1Friday night found McKay Wenger in action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) piloting his Creative Kitchens & Baths No. 42 Super Late Model entry. With 17 cars registered in action, Wenger topped the charts in time trials before cruising to a heat race victory. Starting on the pole of the feature, McKay outran Donny Walden, Bob Gardner, Allen Weisser, and Kevin Weaver to capture his first win of the season.

The following night at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), McKay followed up the fourth fastest time overall in qualifying with a 3rd place finish in his heat. With $2,500 on the line in the feature, Wenger gained two spots to place 5th behind Ryan Unzicker, Allen Weisser, Billy Drake, and Kody Evans.

July 5, 2019 - Hell Tour Stop at Farmer City Ends with Roll Over
1On Friday evening McKay Wenger traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) powering his Nutrien Ag Solutions No. 42 Super Late Model entry for another round of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. In a field of 26 cars, Wenger timed sixth fastest in his qualifying group before mechanical issues in his heat race sent him toppling over the berm and on his roof.
