12th-place finish in Super Nationals at Fairbury Speedway

Taking part in the Labor Day weekend MARS Racing Series tripleheader, McKay Wenger traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Thursday afternoon for the Farmer City 74. The following night, McKay was an early exit from his heat race with two-laps remaining, transferring him into the B-Main. Coming in third, Wenger locked into the 18th-starting position for the show. With $5,000 on the line, Wenger ran into more trouble that saw him depart early from the 47-lap affair on lap 39.

1On Saturday afternoon at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the FALS Supernationals, Wenger came one spot short of a transfer spot into the main event with a fifth place finish in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. Recording a third place finish, McKay earned the 21st-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale. Marching forward nine spots in the 50-lapper, McKay Wenger notched a 12th place outing.
