Top-5 finish in Farmer City 74 at FCR

McKay Wenger made the short trek to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon to enter his Nutrien Ag. Solutions No. 42 Late Model into battle for the Mars Racing Series-sanctioned Farmer City 74. With a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Dennis Erb Jr. placing him seventh on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Wenger clawed forward two spots in the talent-laden field to register a fifth-place finish. For the Spring Showcase on Saturday evening at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), McKay came in seventh in his heat race before grabbing the second-and-final transfer spot in his B-Main. With $15,000 on the line in the feature, Wenger pulled off early on lap 23 to save equipment.
