McKay Wenger notches Top-10 finish in FALS Cup opener

On Saturday afternoon McKay Wenger made the short trip to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) to kick off the track’s season opener with the FALS Cup. After topping the 25-car field in time trials, Wenger streaked to an eight-lap heat race victory, which positioned him on the pole for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. With the team still learning the setup on his brand new Rocket XR1 Chassis, Wenger faded back to an eighth-place finish in the 30-lap affair.

He was awarded his 2020 Fairbury Speedway track championship trophy while picking up the Driver of the Year honor.
